Level 7 Farms

Level 7 Farms is located in Orrstown Pennsylvania within the scenic Cumberland Valley . Marcus the farm Manager began managing day to day operations of the farm in 2018 . Ammon his Father  bought the farm in 1978 and started  a dairy operation . In the early 2000s Ammon began implementing organic practices after they became aware of health concerns related to conventional faming practices requiring heavy chemical application . By  2012 when Ammon retired from dairy farming , their farming  practices met organic certification requirements . 

From 2012 to 2018 the farm operation consisted of cash cropping. Intrigued by the regenerative farming practices Marcus bought his first beef cattle in autumn of 2018 . It began with implementing daily moves of cattle to build soil organic matter and the journey continues today . With a goal of leaving the soil in better health than we found it , because ultimately we believe health begins in the soil and we are stewards placed here to care for the earth.

A couple of fun facts about the connection between  Marcus and Faith Hill Farms . Well if were totally honest Marcus is a big part of the reason we are where we are today . Yes we are cousins but there is quite an age gap,  After I suffered a near fatal vehicle accident , Marcus became a bit of a spiritual mentor. Through this relationship is where I first started to learn about regenerative farming . We look forward to continue learning and growing , and many more years to come .
